“It’s fantastic to see the Government’s clarity and commitment for the UK’s green industrial future. Of particular importance is the focus on making new and existing homes and public buildings more energy efficient. Britain’s buildings are significant contributors to CO₂ emissions, and the extension of the Green Homes Grant voucher scheme by a year will be a fundamental way we can work towards net zero today.

Energy efficiency is abundant and is the cheapest and greenest energy resource that we have. Making our infrastructure more energy efficient and coming up with more efficient ways to structure and organise our society is perhaps the most important way we can reduce the UK’s carbon dependency.”
